Sycamore Village residents used their art therapy time in November to create holiday paintings. Three designs were chosen and have been converted into holiday cards to be sold during December to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research. Programs coordinator, Rebecca Nehrt, led the residents earlier this year in creating artwork that sold at an Art Auction in July and raised over $3,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. The three designs chosen were by residents Ernestine Beuckman, Carolyn Knepper and Juanita VanderLeest. Pictures of the holiday cards will be displayed this month in the Belleville News Democrat. The holiday cards will be sold in sets of 12 cards, four of each design for six dollars in the Sycamore General Store.
