Employees of Sycamore Village joined the Alzheimer's Association in their annual event, "Walk to End Alzheimer's", at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville on Saturday, September 24th. United in a movement to reclaim the future for millions, this is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.
Sycamore Village is committed year round to raising money and awareness for this disease that is the 6th leading cause of death in America. From our specialized and personal care program, "Returning the Love", to our Creative Arts Therapies, we implement the strides that memory loss care has made. It is through the enriched lives of our residents with Alzheimer's/dementia that we raise awareness for this disease and money for research. or the 2nd straight year, Sycamore Village is holding an art auction to raise money for Alzheimer's research. Over 200 pieces of art made by our residents with Alzheimer's/dementia will be sold during a silent auction on Nov. 3rd. (Check the website for more details) Currently, The Galleries at Sole Survivor, have also been showing/selling pieces from the collection.
