The Creative Arts Program at Sycamore Village continues the life story through creative expression.
The benefits of these classes engage socialization, cognitive stimulation, physical exercise and to an extent, spirituality. The Creative Arts Program consists of four components: Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Movement Therapy and Horticultural Therapy. Our certified therapists host monthly sessions with our residents. Each week of the month there is a therapy session for one of the four components of the program. Through creative expression, residents can experience many benefits including behavior modification, stress reduction, increased self-esteem, memory enrichment, and achievement of personal growth. Additional programs include: drama, massage and aromatherapy.
