Julie Eastwood is a Licensed Practical Nurse at Sycamore Village since January 2009.  Julie has always enjoyed working with the elderly.  Even in high school, Julie worked in the kitchen of a nursing home and delighted in getting to know the residents and talking with them as friend-to-friend.  Julie went on to spend three years as a certified nurse assistant in a convent where she gave care to retired nuns.  Many of the Sisters were retired nurses and after witnessing Julie’s passion for caring for others, they encouraged her to attend nursing school. 

Julie graduated nursing school and became a licensed practical nurse in 2008.  Though she works full time in the evenings at Sycamore, she still works the occasional weekends at the convent.  Other than being a nurse, Julie enjoys reading, listening to music, walking her dogs and writing.  Julie is pictured with resident Maggie.
